Elena Iosifova, Russian theatre actress of Theatre OM Moscow
Creator of Theatre OM

Elena Iosifova

An Autonic. A member of the company since the founding of the theatre.

For Elena, theatre is an artistic space for the creation of life, where familiar things acquire a different, transcendent meaning. It is a field of profound search and discovery, an expansion of one’s own boundaries, and a movement beyond the limits of physical space.

She perceives the creative process as a place of inner transformation and liberation from illusions — both for the creator and for the audience. “Here, social masks are not put on; they are torn away, revealing the true essence of the human being.”

At the same time, theatre is for her a great responsibility. It is not about personal display, but about the interconnectedness and synthesis of all participants in the artistic process, where each person is a unique phenomenon.

In her work, Elena draws upon perception, associations, images, and symbols, while maintaining a sensitive and careful attitude toward both the process and her partners — treating them as a miracle.
